Software engineering with AI is still very new, and the playbook is being written in real time.

Personally, I'm trying to keep an open mind as I figure it out. There are beliefs I've held for years about how I like to approach my work (prior to generative AI), but I don't want those habits or biases to box me in as things evolve.

I've been pushing myself to experiment more, try different workflows, and get comfortable being uncomfortable. Not everything works, and that's okay. There's value in exploring because these tools and techniques are so new that we're all still learning what actually sticks.

Leaning into it this way feels like the best path to staying competitive, ahead of the curve, and building new leverage with these tools in both your work and your life.
